Hey Jacob,
That's no fun.
Generally this is caused by one of the URLs Used by Minecraft Education being blocked by your device or network.
You should confer with your IT Administration staff to verify that none of these blocked.
Additionally, you could try a few things to help isolate the issue:
1. Does the issue occur for other devices on the same network?
2. Does the issue occur if you move to another network (like a hotspot)?
3. Are other users affected by this issue as well?0 -
Have same problem on my mac.
ipad works, not my mac (latest os)
Mac does not work on any network.
Tried old mc version and it works (multiplayer host) on all networks

Hey there!
Sorry to hear multiplayer is not working on your Mac, can you give these keychain steps a try that Max and Lynda lay out here? - https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/28795140075540-Technical-issues-1-21-03-Multiplayer?page=2#community_comment_29613845522836
I have a hunch that is what is going on here. Let us know!

I had trouble getting others in the room to join my MacBook Air hosted game, turns out it was because of one or all of these things:
- an update to the game shut off the “Local Network” permission for Minecraft so I had to go to macOS settings and reenable that
- System wide Adblock on macOS was blocking certain Microsoft related domains
- iPad ScreenTime restriction settings were blocking certain Microsoft related domains
Check those out, hopefully they can help you out. Also be sure to manually update the macOS version, it only auto-updates on iPad but not macOS, you’ll need to redownload it from this site. That fixes some connection issues too sometimes.
