Something went wrong. Check your internet connection
This is super frustrating. After signing in I get the message "something went wrong. please check your internet connection" and it asks me to sign in again.
There is nothing wrong with my internet - it only happens on my mac laptop, it works fine on the ipad and on windows 10.
The thing is my worlds are saved on my mac and I ned them for a school assignment.
I have reinstalled, rebooted, tried multiple times. Can anyone help?

Hey, I'm wondering about this problem as I have had this problem on my ipad. I've been trying to add an add-on and I keep getting the same error. (sorry, we were unable to complete your purchase. Maybe check your internet connection?)
I have restarted my ipad, remove my wifi connection and added it, and turned airplane mode on and off. I'm not sure what else to try so just hoping for some help.
Thanks
Ty

Hey Harry,
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with this error, I have some steps to go through for troubleshooting:
1.)If you are on a school network, has your IT admin allow listed all URLs from this page? : https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047118992-FAQ-IT-Admin-Guide-
2.) Do you have a proxy or web filter that might be blocking the apps connection to our services on the network you are on?
3.)Back up any worlds, Uninstall and Reinstall App from this page: https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/get-started/download
4.)Are all OS's on the latest version? If not, I would recommend updating to latest OS version.

Hey Tyler,
Your error sounds a bit different. Are you not able to complete your purchase?
Are you able to try to purchase from a different device and or different network?

Hey, so I only play in PE, I'm trying to buy an add on. I wasn't able to complete my purchase. I'm still fiddling with it. How can I buy it from another device? Are you able to give me steps? My brother and mom also play minecraft and they are attached to the same network, also use PE, and bought the add on each from their ipads. So it is weird! Please let me know.
Thanks
Ty

Hey there,
When you mention PE, you are referring to Pocket Edition?
If you want to purchase Minecraft Education you can follow this guide with your parents help - https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360061369812-Purchase-Commercial-Licenses
If you are interested in Pocket Edition, that is not our team and you can reach out with any inquiries for that to this support team - https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001225811

Just spent 40 minutes with my science class trying to figure this out. They just downloaded the most recent version. I had students be able to get on but they already had it downloaded and played in the past. I tried restarting chromebooks, using both wifi networks our school has, uninstalling and installing again (this at least gave them the option to enter their password) but it did not work at all. I have reached out to my district admin, but I'm seeing a lot of replies check proxy/web which I have no idea how to do.

Hey Jessica McIver,
Your schools IT Administration should be able to help verify your proxy/firewall configuration!
A really good way to confirm if the issue occurs because of a network issue is to try taking on of the devices offsite to a non-filtered network (like your home wifi or a personal hotspot) and see if the issue persist. It isn't quite a catchall as there can be on-device filters, but it could rule out some issues. Either way, we'd recommend checking in with your IT Team!
Let us know if you have any additional questions, or concerns!
Thank you!0
