    Hey Kyle!

Sorry to hear you are still having issues with this, just wanted to confirm have you tried the preview/beta yet? The issue should have been worked on there. Let us know how things go if you try it! Still no ETA when that fix will go to the live version unfortunately.

Hello, My entire class is having the same issue. I have 3 classes and they all are having this issue but I will say I just started having this issue last week and this happened right after my tech team upgraded the computer lab to windows 11. While we were on Windows 10 we didn't have this issue.

Some students are having the game crash when they are coding and others are just when not coding and just reading the NPC information. Some of the ways we are seeing before it crashes is also the mouse no longer moves unless we press ESC to save and quit the world and then keep doing ESC and clicking close to full close Minecraft and go back but with in moments the Program crashes again.

    Hey Isaiah!

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with this as well.

Have you tested out our Beta/Preview here? - https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4407483028116-Download-Minecraft-Education-Beta

Let us know how that goes!

I have had several of the children I teach lessons with try Minecraft Education Preview.

Minecraft Education Preview does not have this problem.

However, getting many of the 100+ children to use the preview version is a challenge.

Children are not good at typing, have difficulty doing searches, downloading, and signing back in with the preview version.

It would take too much time to ask each parent/guardian to do this.

When will you decide when the LIVE version will be applied?
We have been waiting for months now and children, parents and us are feeling away from using Minecraft Education.

We would like a response as soon as possible.

    Hi,

We are also experiencing this issue with the application crashing multiple times within an hour. Is this an issue that will be addressed soon? We use Minecraft Education with MakeCode for a coding club for 300-plus students. We would like to have a solution for this as it greatly impacts our lessons.

We do not want to install a preview, because I kind of have the feeling this will bring along other issues as well.

    Kind regards,

    Jonathan Joos

So, it's been told in the FB groups that the 1.21.50 update was going to be launched between January and February. We're in March now, and there are no news about this update yet... I know that you may be still fixing some bugs, but being that Code Builder is practically unusable in stable, maybe it's best if you just launch 1.21.50 and then fix the remaining bugs with future minor patches. Just a thought...

    Hey Nico Chiari
Apologies you were given a bad time frame. We ended up having to push the full release back a few weeks due to stability issues. I don't have an exact ETA at this time, but we're hoping to have the full release out within the next few weeks.
We apologize this update is taking some time to come out. We want to ensure that we fix the major issues, but also maintain overall stability of the app.

Let us know if you have any additional questions, or concerns!
    Thank you!

  • Hello, Danny Justin

We have encountered no functional issues with the Preview version and would appreciate receiving the release version without the debug text at the top, as its presence prevents us from making full use of the current version. If the debug text is removed, we have no further objections.

I would also like to emphasize that the Preview version is the only one working for us at this time. While I am not certain of your estimated timeline, our schedule indicates a release in May. We sincerely hope that a complete, debug-free release will be available before then.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

    Sincerely

In our 30 minutes of coding we had 20 different instances of the MakeCode crashing while in Minecraft Preview. What else can we do?

Nikita, I've created a pack that hides the debug text info. You have the pack and the instructions in this Drive folder:

    [REDACTED]

    Hope it helps!

    Hey there Nico!

Thanks for sharing the above for Nikita Gutsenkov! Typically we do not allow links posted on this forum, however we will make an exception for this post for one week. Nikita, let us know when you have gotten what you need from Nico's download link, and we will remove it.

    Thanks all!
