    Hi,

Just a notification that I've also been having this same issue occur recently with a similar environment. (A2681 Macbook fleet, Apple M2 chip, MacOS Sequoia 15.1)

Interestingly, this issue doesn't appear to happen with macbook air devices from older fleet. (A1932, MacOS Sonoma 14.7.1)

    Hey there,

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues as well.

Oh interesting, so all the older OS's are running fine and it is just the newer ones running into this issue for you Rowan?

Any proxies, content filters, virus protection and/or firewalls on the network?

    Hey,

Yes, from testing it appears to be only reportedly affecting our newest macbook fleet.

In our school environment, we currently use the following:
    - Sophos XG Firewall.
    - Sophos Endpoint software installed on the computers.

I've done a range of testing this week (Windows devices, Macbook devices, off the school network on phone hotspot) and it seems to be working for all of these except the latest macbooks. (regardless of whether they are connected to the school network or connected to hotspot)

Strangely, it appeared to be working earlier in the week for a short time (wasn't freezing, allowed sign in of account) after adding the minecrafteduservices.com (login, discovery, notebooks and downloads) whitelist URLs. But then wasn't working from testing the next day.

Another strange thing which may also be unrelated, after starting up there is enough time to click on Sign in which brings up the MS 365 login window. After signing into this the main MEE window is still frozen.

    Hello.

I am experiencing exactly the same issue. Disabling or uninstalling firewall and antivirus software does not resolve the problem. I am using MacOS Sequoia 15.2.

Is there a possibility that using a Windows PC might resolve the issue?

    Hi Aoi,

From my school environment testing, I haven't had this issue happen with Windows PCs and as a result we're currently using a few spare Windows laptops as a workaround for this issue.

    Hey there all,

Hmm... I am not totally convinced yet that it is due to keychain related shenanigans, but it could be worth going through the steps Max and Lynda talk about here - https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/28795140075540-Technical-issues-1-21-03-Multiplayer?page=2#community_comm[%E2%80%A6]29613845522836

To see if that helps your issue at all.

Following those directions gave false hope. I was able to log in, however, it eventually froze again and now when I attempt to reopen the game it freezes once again on the log in screen.
