I am unable to download Minecraft Education Edition on my Mac (Version 10.13.6

For some odd reason, whenever I go to download it on my Mac, it loads, then says, "minecraft-edu quit unexpectedly."

I don't know if there is something wrong with my mac, or if it's something else, but my mac used to have Minecraft Education, and I deleted it to update to 1.21, and according to what I'm saying here, it will not load.
