Structure Block Export Errors
We are regularly running into errors with Structure Blocks not fully exporting the 3D model correctly. It is missing blocks (which are solid - not glass blocks. I have a world example, as well as the resulting 3D model missing the blocks. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

We have noticed this behavior and reported it to our Devs. There is a bug report for this to be looked into but no ETA for a fix. Can you tell me what kinds of blocks you used that are missing/are they the same type of block that is no exporting correctly? Also, what type of device and export tool are you using to make this 3D export file?

So far, we have replicated on iOS, Windows Devices and Chromebooks. I have seen it with concrete, wool and wood - but in an export where other blocks of the exact same type export correctly.
Does that make sense?

Yup that makes sense, we have passed it along to the devs, thanks so much for the report!

Any updates on this issue? I keep trying to export my students' builds as glbs for 3d printing but the exported models have many holes in them just like in the examples earlier in this thread. Most frustrating.

Apologies, but no updates at this time Richard.

Running into this issue consistently and has put a hold on a project for students. We also noticed that it's not just affecting textures but geometry as well, as you can see from testing the GLB export in Blender.

This is also, apparently, an issue in Bedrock and has been since 1.17

We did some further testing in Blender and some of the "missing" blocks are actually flipped normals. This can be corrected in Blender one block at a time but this is far to great a lift for most students.

This bug is still there. Occasionally, only parts of the structure is exported. After many attempts, I managed to export by making a copy of the structure in the same world, renaming the structure, storing it in memory, and then exporting it out. Whether I was lucky or not, I don't know, but it's important that this mistake is corrected.

Hi there,
It is frustrating that this bug has still not been fixed, as it has been around for more than 2 years, making it nearly impossible to do a successful build project with students for 3D printing. Please advise when you anticipate this issue will be resolved.

Hey there,
We totally understand your frustrations. The dev team is aware of the issue, but unfortunately there is no ETA of a fix at this time.
