Level Import Failed -> iPad
One of my students reported being unable to import a level onto their iPad.
They were able to download successfully, but when they clicked on the file, they got a "Level Import Failed" in Minecraft: Education Edition.
I was curious, so I tried on my iPad and got the same issue. It's NOT an issue on my PC desktop or MacBook Pro.

Hey there!
Sorry to hear! What kind of file type was it?
Do we know if the world file was originally made in Minecraft: Education Edition?

I run into this one ALL the time, as do the schools I work with, and would love to know if there's a permanent fix. The workaround that I've found works a lot of the time requires a macbook or other Mac computer to air-drop the file to the iPad, and it had a much higher rate of success for reasons we do not understand. Because it's schools I'm working remotely with, I don't know the exact specs of their iPads, but I do know it's more likely to happen on older ones (like my own original series iPad Air).

Sarah Elliott - I find the iPad connections to be tricky as well. Air dropping is a great idea. We lose saves files on them all the time (greyed out, usually.) And import stagnation of one sort or another is just par for the course. I have thought it was the wifi network connections, but we have also had trouble with connection to appleid requesting a refreshed sign-in and interrupting things. We just kind of suffer with it in the Kinder and first grade classes. =/ I'm going to try the air drop idea, though! =D

Hi guys, it may be because of this: [MCPE-47250] Cannot import Worlds and Resource/Behavior Packs in iOS 13 and above - Jira (mojang.com)

When you download mcworld files on the browser, it will land in the downloads folder in the iOS files app. You must move the downloaded mcworld file to an another app. I had the same issue and when I moved the mcworld file to the notes app, it fixed it.
There is a bug where you can't import mcworld files in the files app on iPad.

It was made in Education Edition on a MacBook (exported as .Mcworld).

We have been able to confirm that this issue can be imported by moving the world folder from the Download folder to the Minecraft Education Edition folder on the iPad and then tapping on the world data to open it.
Another workaround is to create a shortcut in the Shortcuts app that passes from Share to the Minecraft Education Edition app.
