My Minecraft Edu is not opening

I am using a Macbook Air. I tried reinstalling many times and restarting my laptop (it is a school laptop if that means anything). There are no error messages that pop up, it just comes up in the taskbar and disappears instantly. If there are any resolutions that would be very helpful, thanks.

  Just a few questions to support you better:

  Are you trying to connect on a school network or home network?

  Are you on the latest version of 1.18? 

  What OS version are you on? If you are not on the latest, please update to latest OS version.

  Home network. 

  I'm not sure if it is on latest version since i haven't successfully opened it.

  You can try running it in safe mode to see if that allows it to open and troubleshoot from there.
