Mod issue
So recently, I allowed a student to borrow my laptop (macbook) for some Minecraft: Education Edition. The student installed Astral client which is apparently not supported on M:EE, and now my laptop can't be used to play it. I attempted to re-install the app and find the mods folder, but nothing worked. I do have admin on this laptop. If anyone knows how to delete mods without opening minecraft, that would be great.
What I can do:
-open the game
-Open .mcpack files and host them
What I can't do:
-Open settings
-Create or join worlds

Hey there!
Sorry to hear! Unfortunately mods are not supported by the support team because of the corruption issues they may cause such as this, but hopefully someone else sees your post and can support!

Hi, Ken Swaner - I sympathize with the Mac trouble. Here is my suggestion. (You may know this stuff, but I'm covering the bases =] just in case.)
Back up all of your worlds somewhere off of the device.
Completely remove Minecraft from the device.
(Actually, I have to do this just to update to the new version! This is necessary on Macs with MC:EE)
Download the new update to your Mac.
Now here's the thing: you can't share worlds with anyone whose device isn't also updated. So if you are working with devices which don't auto-update (like my lab with PCs do) then you can't share worlds with them. They have to update also.
Create a new world and see if it is happy. (I sure hope it works!) If it does, add some old faithful worlds. I do *not* suggest that you open any world you tried to open that caused trouble, unless you really want to roll the dice. I would do that on an easily reset device like a chromebook, to see if it can be recovered.
That's the best I can do. I have recovered from some major oopses. Weird things. This is what ended up working. Let us know.

open "finder"
then hold option and click go then click "library"
go to application support and find "minecraftpe" and open
go to games\com.mojang\resource_packs and find AstralV6.9 or something else that has astral in it and delete it
you should be good now
hope this helped :)
