Cannot load world - out of data storage space

Hello. Trying to help one teacher. His kids were working on a world over 2 years and after the update they cannot load the world. They are getting a strange error screen: You are out of data storage space and Minecraft is unable to save your progress! ..." There were no issues before the update to 1.18.32

Then it goes back to main screen  and MCEDU crashes (in some cases). Different PCs tested with lots of disc space... but no success
