Subject: [Critical Outage] Login Loop: Individual User Client Stuck at "Sign-In Required: Signing into..." Without VPN (Post-v26.32)
Dear Minecraft Education Technical Support Team,
I am an individual user writing to report an ongoing critical connection and authentication failure affecting Minecraft Education in Mainland China / East Asia, matching the issue described in community post #53851172557076 ("Critical Connection Outage - Login Screen Stuck at Signing into Loop").
Issue Description
Symptom: When launching Minecraft Education on my personal devices and clicking "Sign In", the client hangs indefinitely at the modal popup: "Sign-In Required: Signing into [account]...". The interactive Microsoft login dialog never loads, and no error code is displayed.
Affected Versions: Confirmed on v26.32 (and recent updates).
Affected Devices: Confirmed across both my personal PC (Windows 11) and mobile devices.
Troubleshooting & Reproduction
1. Direct Connection Failure: Under standard home broadband and mobile cellular networks, the client remains completely stuck in the "Signing into" loop without progressing.
2. Web Browser Login Works: I can log in to my Microsoft account normally through standard web browsers (Edge/Chrome) on login.microsoftonline.com and portal.office.com. The issue is strictly isolated to the Minecraft Education client app's internal authentication component.
3. VPN Workaround: If I route network traffic through an international VPN, the login window pops up immediately and authenticates successfully.
4. Impact on Regular Users: As an individual user without continuous access to dedicated network proxies or VPNs on home devices, I am completely locked out of accessing the game under everyday conditions.
Request
Could the technical team please investigate whether recent server-side node adjustments, routing changes, or SSL/TLS handshake requirements for login.microsoftonline.com and auth.minecraft.services are causing connection drops for individual clients in this region?
We kindly ask for your assistance in restoring normal direct connectivity for affected individual users.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
