    Sorry for the server update process issues. I hope this guide helps a bit with it! Let us know how things go: 

    Update to a New Version of Minecraft Education

    Updating Dedicated ServerTo update existing dedicated servers:
    • Download the latest versions from one of the links below:
    • Unzip the new server zip, stop the old server if it is running, and copy the following from the old server directory to the new server directory:
      • The "edu_server_session.json" file
      • The "worlds" folder
      • The "server.properties" file
      • The "allowlist.json" file
      • The "permissions.json" file
      • Any other files or directories you went out of your way to customize in the old server (such as resource or behavior packs)
    • Now run the new server, which should retain all configuration and authentication of the old server.
    • You can verify you're running the newest version from the console from the "Server Version" line on startup.
