Free trial now shows "1 of 1" login
Since 7/27, our accounts get a single sign-in and then require a paid license. The support article says the trial is 25 logins for educators with an Office 365 Education account and 10 for everyone else — 1 is neither, so this looks like a bug rather than a policy change. I found no mention of it in the support articles, Change Log, Service Status page, or this forum.
If you're seeing the same, please reply with your platform, version, and date. If your counter still shows 10 or 25, that's useful too — it would mean this is tenant-specific.

Yes, indeed they have been. Terribly sorry if this has effected you greatly. If you could help me help share your story to the team, could you please describe exactly how you were using these trial licenses? Are you unable to get Certified Academic Institution approval?
