Free trial now shows "1 of 1" login
Since 7/27, our accounts get a single sign-in and then require a paid license. The support article says the trial is 25 logins for educators with an Office 365 Education account and 10 for everyone else — 1 is neither, so this looks like a bug rather than a policy change. I found no mention of it in the support articles, Change Log, Service Status page, or this forum.
If you're seeing the same, please reply with your platform, version, and date. If your counter still shows 10 or 25, that's useful too — it would mean this is tenant-specific.
Ticket opened as well; I'll post back with any answer.

It seems like there may be a trend going on, perhaps for users in Japan? There are more reports of it here - https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/51737675980820-%EC%B2%B4%ED%97%98%ED%8C%90-%EA%B3%84%EC%A0%95-%EB%A1%9C%EA%B7%B8%EC%9D%B8?page=1#community_comment_51761269541012

Hey there,
Yes, indeed they have been. Terribly sorry if this has effected you greatly. If you could help me help share your story to the team, could you please describe exactly how you were using these trial licenses? Are you unable to get Certified Academic Institution approval?

Yes this is happening to me, and I was wondering if it was a new change or a bug?

Hey there!
It was a new change. Free trials are now only available for academic users, this article has been updated accordingly. - https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047116432-Try-Minecraft-Education-for-free

That article page does not state that the limit has been changed to 0 for commercial accounts.
Rather, it states that it can be used 10 times.
”The trial is limited by the number of logins (25 for teachers with an Office 365 Education account and 10 for all other users) before a paid license is required to continue playing.”0
