Request for Add built in app screenshot & screen recording feature
Hello Minecraft Education support team!
I want to use screenshot & screen recording for my Spanish "My dream house" project. Well, I have no choice but to use other built-in windows screenshot feature which is very annoying and sometimes my windows laptop gets very laggy and turns into slideshow (I mean very laggy 1 FPS).
So, that's why I am requesting to add Minecraft Education built-in screenshot & screen recording tool/feature that can make taking screenshots and screen recording easier for projects and it will be very convenient. People who use weak devices (such as weak CPU or low RAM) can use built-in Minecraft Education screenshot / screen recording feature/tool will make things easier and it will be very helpful for me.
Thanks for your support and have a great day!

Same here dude. My computer gets fried every time I use OBS, so this would be very helpful.

Hey there!
F2 while in game should use Minecraft Education's built in screenshot feature! You could also use the camera item to take in game photos, post them in a Book & Quill, then export the Book & Quill as a pdf with all your cool images!

Hello Minecraft Education support team!
Unfortunatly F2 doesn't work. I am using an NYC DOE MANAGED Lenovo Thinkpad 11e Yoga 6th gen, and the F2 key is just decreases the volume. So do you mean Fn+F2? That worked!
Thank you for your support!

What about screen recording feature?

Hey there, the screenshot key needing or not needing FN will depend on your laptop/keyboard manufacture. Some default to functions keys (F1, F2, etc.) while others default to media keys (Volume Up, Down, Mute, etc.). You may need to enable FN Lock (generally with a keybind), to change the default. Otherwise, yes, you will need to use FN+F2.

As for screen recording, there's nothing native, but depending on your OS, and device management, there may be built in options sch as Xbox Game Bar.

Well, my administrator disabled Xbox game bar (maybe) so, it will be convenient if there is a built-in feature.

Hey there,
Gotcha, thank you for the request. It seems in this case if the IT Admin disabled recording through gamebar, it sounds like they may not want recording on the device. Therefore, if we did have a way to record video directly within the app, it is possible they would want to disable that as well.
