Problems with joining and hosting

My problem is that when I try to host, I don't get a 4 character code like it should. Instead I get 4 Xs saying that I have a connection problem. My connection ID appears but doesn't work either for people trying to join it. When I try to join someone elses world I can't use the pictures either and have to do the connection ID. That goes through and offers me the option of joining the world and I can see the persons nametag in the join option. However when I try and join it takes ages and then says it can't connect. People with the same school email as me are able to play together also.

  Hey there,

  Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with joining and hosting. Just had a few questions to help us support you further:

  1 - What device Make/Model/OS version are you on?

  2 - What version of Minecraft Education are you on? I believe the Connection ID feature was disabled. I will need to double check, so I am surprised to hear you are still seeing it.

  3 - Do you know any others running into this issue?

  4 - Have you tried restarting your device and relaunching Minecraft Education and trying again?
