Big problems in Stockholm with error 2604
About 50% of the Ipads I have for my pupils are unable to log into Minecraft through their school accounts. No account works on the iPads affected. The problem seem to be spreading to more and more iPads. I see many more schools having this issue through teams and it affects Chromebooks as well from what I can tell.
Minecraft version 1.21.132
IpadOS 16.7.14.

Hey there!
So sorry to hear you are running into this error. We are waiting on logging builds for this error to send to users. I will make us a ticket and keep it on hold until we get the logging builds and I will send them over to you. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the patience on this!

We have the same issue with Minecraft EDU on Chromebook. I've reported this in mid-january, but the IT-admins (Fujitsu) still have not found a solution. More and more students get this problem and I don't know why. Because their devices gets updated? Updated passwords?

Hey there,
Thanks for the report.
We're looking into this and it looks like we're working with your team already in a ticket to help find the root cause of this.
Hopefully we can find a fix soon!0 -
Has there been any progress made towards solving this issue? It's affecting the majority of our iPad gen 5:s at the school I'm working at. Does there seem to be any way to fix this or are our iPads simply too old? Is there no way to get around that in that case?

I have investigated this issue extensively. It is as you say, older iPads will stop being supported with Jamf/fujitsu in Stockholm and will not even be supported in the system anymore. What I have heard is that the older iPads that can't be updated past a specific version (can't remember which version) won't even be able to download apps from JAMF past summer.
The main issue is that the iPads is not supporting the TLS 1.2/1.3 certification. We can't access the login server for any Microsoft service.
A bit of a panic here.
Kind regards, Robin0 -
Hey Robin,
Sorry you are still running into issues with this. What generation Ipads are they? The OS version meets minimum specs, so shouldnt be an issue there. Does it work with other devices? Usually we see this error on Chromebooks, Ipads is quite rare but maybe this could help us understand the issue more and work towards a fix. Were you able to test fully wiping an Ipad after backing up all of its data to see if that helps the issue at all?
