unable to have students log into Minecraft edu
Good evening,
my students are unable to log in with their school emails and passwords to Minecraft Edu. We are a google school but have been able to use their credentials to log in without an issue prior to now. It pushes them to the Minecraft authentication, then back again to log in. I am attaching several images and hope you can help. My tech dept at school has been useless. I am telling them it is our firewall that is stopping the log in.
We are at Discovery Magnet School in SD27J in Colorado.

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with the students logging into Minecraft Education.
So does it eventually log them in, or keep them in a never ending sign-in loop? Could you share a screenshot of the page that they are stuck on? (No personal info please)
Is it all the students experiencing this with 100% repro rate?

all students are experiencing this. It will get to the microsoft authenticator, then the next screen asks again for user name and password. It keeps them there in a loop. I am trying to rule out it is a device issue with the chromebooks. I am able to log in on my peronsal devices and on a school windows based laptop with no issue. I had a student go home and try to load it on a personal windows device and he was able to log in with full access.

Yeah, it looks like firewall blocking the ability to access the requires www resources that make things work correctly. Could you ask your IT team to turn off the firewall for a block of IP addresses in your lab/classroom and then work backwards to rebuild the restrictions with an allowance for Minecraft time?
