Translating the Provided Lessons
Hello, I'm currently living in Japan working at an afterschool program which uses Minecraft: Education. While the Minecraft UI can be translated to Japanese, NPCs and objects within most of the maps provided in the library cannot be. I've tried to edit them myself but have continuously run in to several problems. I've read of a few methods to fix this but seem to encounter issues with each one.
The first was through the /wb or /worldbuilder commands. Some maps simply don't allow this to be done regardless of me being a teacher or student. Is there a way to change this setting and allow these commands? Alternatively, I read about how removing the education.json file would allow this to work but doing so resulted in no changes.
I've also tried to edit the text in the .json files directly. To my understanding these are used to build entities when generating the map the first time and then unused after? I've edited these files but the original text still shows. I've also tried giving these files new GUIDs in hopes it would pick up the changes but it just gets caught in a loop of trying to download non-existent files.
I've also used Amulet editor to try and edit the maps but it seems to be incompatible with interacting with NPCs and objects in Minecraft: Education.
I understand Japanese is UTF-8, but that also doesn't seem to be the issue as well.
Are there any guides or steps on what I can do to make these translations on my own? Thank you.

Hey there!
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with /wb commands. This will be true for many worlds generated Minecraft Education. That is how they are coded, so translating those may prove to be more difficult.
You should be able to manually translate signs without the need for /wb mode, but for NPC dialogue you are correct you would need that to be toggleable. I will check with the team to see if there is any way to translate NPC dialogue through files and I will let you know what I hear!
