'There was a problem and multiplayer hosting has stopped'

Hi,

I have recently updated Minecraft EDU from an old version and can no longer host sessions for students. I receive this message and the join code is X X X X. I have reset my laptop (MacBook Pro) a number of times but still get the same message. Is there anything that can be done to allow students to join?

  Hey there!

  Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with the X X X X for join code error.  Just wanted to check in to see if perhaps your network security software updated recently and shut something down?  I think going through the allow-list and confirming things are listed correctly for UDP and TCP traffic would be a good test - more info here: https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047118992-FAQ-IT-Admin-Guide

  You will need your IT admins support for this step.  Otherwise, it would be a good test as well to see if this issue replicates on a different network. Let us know!
