Hosting is down
Hi Minecraft Hosting seems to be totally down, it immediately prompts Restart Hosting and the codes are blank and even using connection ID does not work.

+1 - Trying to get students connected together on iPads. MCE version 1.21.91. Wont work connected to school network or hotspot.

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with join codes being blank. Does it show black X's?
Does it still not work? Usually when I have seen that happen it is due to a temporary outage. Are thing working as intended now?

David Renton, you may also want to check that your IT dept has all the Minecraft URLs added on their firewall appliance. (Here's the list).
We had this issue once, and it turns out they'd restored an older file that didn't have them all up to date to resolve an unrelated issue.
You could also try updating the iPad OS (which sometimes causes problems if it's out of date), shutting down all other running apps (sometimes there's just too many instances of things running), and a restart of the devices is always a good thing to try if you haven't already done so.0 -

Yes, that is correct. It was showing black X's instead of the symbols and the ~20 digit join code wouldn't work either. I have tested it at another site this morning and it is not working. It very well may be a firewall block as when the zscaler app is run on an iPad, it then works. Do you have any idea of the new URLs the MCE app might be reaching out to? It's a lot harder to track and trace these days without admin access to zscaler. Do you guys post release notes for each new version you release?

Thanks Kaleb and Danny, I was able to log a ticket with our service desk and get them to investigate. Turns out it's a statewide issue at present for us as it looks like minecraft-services.net was reclassified to a blocked category at some stage early last week. Working through getting it unblocked. Thanks for you help.
