    Hey there,
Would you be able to try clearing your MakeCode cache and see if that resolves the issue?

To delete the cached data, please navigate to this folder:

    Chromebook Cache Path:

    1. Close Game

    2. Navigate to:  Settings > Apps > Manage Your Apps > MEE > More Settings and Permissions > Storage & Cache

    3. Backup folder to a different location and Delete Folder from this location

    Mac cache Path:

    1. Close Game

    2. Go command in Finder.
press Command-Shift-G and then paste the target directory ~/Library/Application Support/minecraftpe/games/com.mojang and press Enter

    3. Backup folder to a different location and Delete Folder from this location

    Windows cache Path:

    1. close the game
    2. Backup folder to a different location and Delete Folder from this location: C:\Users\[userName]\AppData\Local\Temp\minecraftpe

I am having this issue, but on iPads. Though, 1 iPad managed to launch the MakeCode or Code Toolkit window and that iPad's a BYOD.

I've cleared cache on the iPad I am experimenting on, please note, it is a 32GB system and only 15.31GB left to use.

    Hey there!

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with this as well.

Did the clear cache work for you on the iPad you are experimenting on? How about backing up your worlds and uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft Education? Did that help at all?

    Hi Danny

the ipad is connected to the school network and it seems to be blocking students accounts only, i've signed in with my school credentials and seems the code toolkit has launched. i've cleared, reinistall and tried many of the Hour of Codes world, no luck on the students accounts. Is there a site or few of them I'll need to all through the Firewall? Seems only happening students accounts only. Note to take: iPads are 32 - 64GB storage and updates on app has been deployed last week and last week, so am assuming they are all up-to-date to the latest and O/S is at iOS 18 above.

    Hey Ee,
Since this is only occurring with students I suspect something is blocking them on the firewall.
You can find the full list of URLs that need allow listed here: URLs Used by Minecraft Education – Minecraft Education

    Hi Kaleb,

Thanks for getting back to me, yes, I had a feeling that could be it, but not sure why it would do it now and not 2 years ago, probably Dept. changed it.

I'll add the URLs to the Web filter to allow it on Monday and see how it goes.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I have added the URLs and allowed it in the school's firewall, but, i think it's because i've also blocked xboxlive.com as a student was downloading GTA and Admin came down hard to restrict it completely. I'm thinking this could be still blocking the access to the coding toolkit in the Minecraft Ed iPad app.

It also says, Unable to connect to network. Check your network settings. So I authenticate it and clear library cache, reinstall the app and sign in with the student's credentials and the toolkit launch with a white screen.

    Hey there,

Thanks for sharing your results, I would imagine the blocking of xboxlive.com to have an effect on this. Are you able to unblock it temporarily as a test to see if things work as expected with it unblocked?
