Error 1001

I have previously used my school provided device for several years to play Minecraft Education Edition. In the past month I have been able to play on my personal laptop on my home network. During the past 2 days when I brought my personal laptop to school this error popped up. I have restarted my computer and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I do not know how to fix this and I have seen other posts detailing the issue but none of the fixes worked.
Secondary question. I am growing up and graduating high/secondary school which means I will not have my school account. I have many memories playing it for the past 4 years and was wondering if there is a way to play after graduation?
-Thanks!

Hey there!
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with this error on a school network with a personal device. This is likely due to do some proxies, content filters, virus protection and, firewalls on the school network that could be blocking Minecraft Education. I recommend reaching out to your school's IT admin for further instruction after sharing your story as you did here.
As for your secondary question. Yes absolutely! You will need to make sure to export any favorite worlds before you loose access to your account though, as they are stored locally on the device. https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047555391-Import-Export-and-Manage-Worlds
Additionally, you can purchase a license for yourself with the help of this guide here - https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360061369812-Purchase-Commercial-Licenses
Then you can play as you did in school and continue the great memories! :)
