    Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with Minecraft Education.

    Just had a few questions to help us support you further:

    1.) What device make / model and OS version are you on when you got this error?

    2.) Are both of you on the latest version of Minecraft Education?

    3.) What networks have you tried joining from? What about your friend?

    4.) Is this a commercial account or school managed account?

    I am on a macbook air 2020

    2.) Are both of you on the latest version of Minecraft Education?

    Yes. we both are. 

    3.) What networks have you tried joining from? What about your friend?

    We are on different wifis, they are just our own, and have worked before. 

    4.) Is this a commercial account or school managed account?

    School managed.

    its not working for me to join my friends world, but he can join mine. i tried to join his on 4 different devices, including my school device. its let me join his world once on friday at school, but that was the first time in a long time for anyone else.

    When you tried on 4 different devices, could you tell me more about that experience? What was the outcome on all the devices? You mentioned 1 was a school issued device. What were the others?

  • Hi! My friend and I are also having the same problem and have been trying to join each other’s worlds on our laptops, but it keeps saying that either we’re “unable to join” or “world is no longer available to join”. However, if we both play on our phones, it works. We’re under the same organization, and both of our versions of Minecraft Education are up to date. We’ve also updated our devices as well but nothing has worked.

    Are the laptops in question school devices? It sounds like they may have some kind of firewall, proxy, or other web filtering that is blocking access to multiplayer.

    No, they're not school devices. Both of our laptops are MacBook Airs (Apple M2 chip). The only difference, if it matters, is that mine is 15 inch and hers is 13 inch. What can we do to fix the web filtering? Thank you.

    You will need to reach out to your school's IT admin for more info on what proxies, content filters, virus protection and, firewalls could be affecting you that Kaleb mentioned.
