Minecraft Education - Users consistently get thrown out of the server
Hi All -
Our Minecraft server keeps bumping the class out our worlds. Sometimes, we get 15 or 20 minutes. Sometimes we get less time. We generally use the program in the afternoon on the East Coast between 1pm-3pm. The server is a Macbook and the students use iPads.
Server computer:
MacBook Pro, 14 inch, 16gb memory, Sonoma 14.7.2
Mac OS version: 1.21.06
iPads:
iPads (9th Generation)
iOS version: 1.21.06.1

Same problem with my school class. I host also with a MacBook Air M3 and my students play with windows surfaces. With 14 students it works, but all above the game crashed every time, after few minutes of gameplay.

Hey Robert!
Looks like we have a ticket together so we will keep chatting there.
Hey Ruben,
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with this as well.
Just had a few questions to help us support you further:
1 - Can you test on the beefiest host machine that you have available to you, to see if the issue persists there?
2 - If you have less than 14 try to join, lets say somehwere around 5, will it still kick those 5 out after some time?
3 - Have things worked prior?
4 - Does the issue replicate when the device is plugged in via Ethernet?

Hi
Thank you for you reply. I had a lesson this afternoon with my students with Minecraft. Same issue. With 15 students it works, but all above that crashes. The other students played for them alone. Each 10 minutes we change the students, that all can build in the hosted world. That was no problem, because the hosting world wasn't above 15 persons.
1 I have only this MacBook.
2 No problem with fewer people.
3 Yes the weeks before it worked properly.
4 We can't use ethernet. The router is at the ceiling.
