Minecraft Education Takes Too Long to Boot on First Startup
Hello! I hope you're doing well!
I’ve been experiencing an issue with Minecraft Education on my Windows 11 laptop, and I wanted to reach out for assistance. Specifically, the game takes an unusually long time (at least 5 minutes) to boot the first time I launch it after starting up Windows. However, if I close the game and reopen it without restarting Windows, it loads quickly.
For context, my setup is as follows:
- Intel Core i7-14650HX @ 2200MHz
- 32GB RAM
- 1TB SSD
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (Laptop)
- Stable, high-speed internet connection
What I’ve ruled out so far:
- The game is a clean install on a new PC. The only thing I copied over were my world files and resource packs from my previous setup. Still, I’ve tried reinstalling Minecraft Education multiple times, and the problem persists.
- My drivers are up to date, as is Windows 11.
- I thought the issue might be my folder of worlds, which weighs around 4GB. However, even after removing all my worlds, the game still takes a long time to boot on first launch.
Additionally, I’ve discussed this issue with other regular Minecraft Education users, and it seems I’m not alone—some of them are also experiencing the same behavior.
I’d really appreciate any guidance or suggestions you could offer to help resolve this. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!
Best regards
P.S. I should note that this issue also occurred on my previous computer, so it doesn’t appear to be tied to my current hardware.

Hey there!
Thanks for the info, Sorry to hear you are running into some issues.
Here are a few things you can check on:
- What proxies, content filters, virus protection and, firewalls are on the device / network?
- Can you test on a different network? How is your internet speed?
- Is this a home network?
- Could you test on Minecraft Bedrock if you have it? Similar load times?
