    Hey there,

Thanks for sharing your info, Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with Minecraft Education.

Looks like your OS version,  macOS 11.1 (20C69), does not quite meet the minimum requirement of, macOS 12 (Monterey), as per - https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047556591-System-Requirements

I recommend upgrading your Mac OS.

    Hey there,

Unfortunately I do not believe so. We recommend upgrading OS version when you are able.

I ran into the exact same problem but was able to fix it without upgrading the OS (my Macbook is too old to upgrade beyond MacOS Big Sur):

The app crashes due to some error verifying the code signature. You can fix it by opening a Terminal window and executing the 3 commands outlined in this answer to a stackoverflow post: https://stackoverflow.com/a/69614400

For me this fixed the issue and I'm able to run Minecraft for Education 1.21.06 on macos Big Sur 11.7.10.

Thanks Tom VC ! I had the same issue with my 2015 Macbook which can be max upgraded to Big Sur (11.7.10 as of now). I followed you link and then just had to run the following commands:

    xcode-select --install
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/minecraft-edu.app

And that worked even for Minecraft Edu version 1.21.91. Thanks!
