Issue due to improper deletion of Minecraft Education (version 1.17.30.5)
(Note before reading: This text has been translated by ChatGPT.)
In the past, I installed Minecraft Education provided by my school for a school-related competition. However, I mistakenly deleted it the wrong way, directly removing it from the folder. Recently, while checking the Control Panel, I noticed that around 750MB of meaningless space is still being used. I’ve tried several methods, such as reinstalling and then uninstalling the app. However, possibly due to the version, all attempts have failed. Please help me remove this unnecessary space.

Hey there,
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with Minecraft Education uninstalling.
What device and OS version are you on? So is Minecraft Education still showing as "installed" in the Control Panel even though you are pretty sure it is removed from your device?

First of all, I apologize for the delay.
It is installed on a personal computer using Windows 10.I'm not sure if I fully understand the issue, but in the Control Panel, it seems that the program is only shown as "installed." The icon, file size, and version are displayed. However, when I try to uninstall it from the Control Panel, it says, "This action is only valid for installed programs."

No worries!
Thanks for the info. Hmm, let me check with the team if there is a "Force Wipe" program we recommend.

Are you creating a Force Wipe program?

Hey there!
Thanks for the ping and sorry for the delay. I did reach out to the team about this one and this is the process they reccomend:
Let's go ahead and try a more thorough uninstall and reinstall. First though, you can backup your worlds, if you have any, by manually searching for and backing up your worlds by following these paths in Windows. Just copy that minecraftWorlds folder and paste a copy on your desktop.
PC: C:\Users\(USERNAME)\AppData\Roaming\Minecraft Education\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds
note: USERNAME refers to the user account used to login to the device, not the login for Minecraft Education.
---
Now, in your Add / Remove programs, find Minecraft Education and select uninstall. Then perform the following to delete any other remaining files:
- Hit Windows Button + R to pull up Run
- In the open bar, paste: %appdata%/Minecraft Education
- Hit enter
- Create a backup of this folder somewhere like on your desktop. Then, delete the Minecraft Education folder in app data
- Then, do the above four steps again, but instead for %temp%/minecraftpe
Now, reinstall Minecraft Education from here: https://education.minecraft.net/get-started/download
If that resolves your issue, you can go ahead and move your worlds back

It turned out to be a more complicated (probably?) issue than I initially thought. Based on the publisher being listed as Microsoft Studios in the Control Panel, I tracked the file location and found that the files were located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Studios\Minecraft Education Edition. However, deleting the files had no effect.
P.S. 1 – This might be a visual bug. (https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/4410545727764-I-can-t-fully-uninstall-Minecraft-Education-Edition)
P.S. 2 – I followed the steps you provided, but the program still does not disappear from the Control Panel.
P.S. 3 – In the Control Panel, I noticed a description stating that the installer database contains the data and logic required for installation.0
