Worlds disappeared. MacBook Air
Hi everyone.
There is a very sad problem - worlds and codes are suddenly disappeared from ME.
This case is repeating on Mac.
After previous crashing, user has changed completely his laptop - it is a brand-new laptop, he's installed a brand-new version of ME (by last update), and this problem has repeated.
Currently, there are no worlds on this laptop - they disappeared suddenly.
Is it possible to restore these files and avoid this problem in future?

Hey there,
Oh no! So sorry to hear your worlds are gone. The worlds are tied to the device and not the account, so they were stored locally, which explains why the new device is not showing the worlds.
It is not possible to restore the files unfortunately :/
However to avoid this problem in the future we do recommend:
- Exporting frequently: https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047555391-Import-Export-and-Manage-Worlds
- Review our Cloud options for backup: https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/19632132361748-Cloud-Upload-and-Download

Hi, Danny!
Exactly - worlds stored locally.
And, the problem is in following: you are launching ME and see no worlds created on this device previously.
Just disappeared.

Hey there,
Was Minecraft Education uninstalled and reinstalled on the original device that had the worlds they are looking for? That process is very likely to delete the worlds.

Hey Danny,
let me clarify complete sequence:
1. User used laptop #1 (MacBook Air) with ME installed (1.21.300.0).
Once upon a time, all ME worlds disappeared. With no obvious reason.2. User has bought brand-new laptop #2 (MacBook Air), installed ME (actual version, 1.21.300.0) and registered with the same user account.
Over time, all ME worlds disappeared. With no obvious reason.0 -
Oh on two separate occasions Minecraft Education worlds disappeared on two separate devices without uninstalling/ reinstalling as a cause? Interesting, thanks for the clarification.
Are these devices managed by a school or are they personal devices?
