Unable to join worlds with the latest update v1.21.03
Hi Team,
The majority of my students are unable to join each other's worlds as of the latest update (v1.21.03) which they installed on the 25/07/24.
Some students also experienced the application crashing. I have attached the Mac OS Problem Report.
It is a big issue for us at our school as 3 of our classes are working on group builds currently for a large term project. We also have X2 Minecraft clubs that run each week.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hey there,
So sorry to hear the issues you are running into. Let me know if the steps I posted in Technical issues 1.21.03 - Multiplayer – Minecraft Education help with your issue at all! (Unfortunately, we have seen a bit of a trend of Macs running into some issues since the update)

Also, it is possible this issue is different than the others. If I make a ticket for us -
- Can you send the full report? Is it the same crash for all the macs or different ones?
- How many machines is it affecting?
- Does going back to the previous retail resolve the issue for them?
- Any chance we could get logs from you all?
It would really help a lot if you could, thank you!

Hi Team,
I only have one crash report attached previously above.
At least 15 computers are unable to connect to shared worlds with the new update installed.
It's not possible to get crash reports for all students, as I only see them once a week for class, which is relatively short.
I have not got the students to download the old version, if that is what you mean by "retail"?
Where can I get previous versions of Minecraft Education to install and test?
I have tried to ensure all students are running the latest version of Mac OS 14 Sonoma.
Our IT department has tried to fix the issue and the only thing that worked recently was wiping a student's Mac and reinstalling the latest version of Minecraft Education?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hey there!
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with this error. This has been one that many users have been reporting with Macs unfortunately.
If you would like and be willing to our dev team would really appreciate you trying to replicate that issue on our logging build, if you would like to I can make this ticket into an email and we can continue the convo from there!
As for previous versions, unfortunately we do not typically share previous versions as it may cause new issues.
Oh completely wiping it worked for you?! You are the second person to report that fixing it. Sorry it is such a dramatic fix, but I am glad it worked!

I would like to make the ticket into an email to help get to the bottom of the issue.
