    Hey there,

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues!

Is this on a school issued device?

Do you know any else with this issue?

    Has it worked previously?

Hi Seth. This almost always a problem in our school because the device is overloaded. In other words, either there are too many users with profiles, or the users have too much data.

The easiest way for you to solve this on your end is to delete all Minecraft worlds you do not use or want anymore. You will want to do this before you open any worlds after you open the Minecraft app.

Do let us know the details Danny asked for. We'd like to help. =D

The laptop I use is a crappy 2 and a half year old Chromebook, but Minecraft edu would still work perfectly before Minecraft 1.20. Now once It updated to 1.20, it has non-stop been saying that the game isn't responding. And even if I have only 1 or 0 worlds, it still happens. I believe its just my useless Chromebook. Only the grade I am in has issues because the grades before me have been getting different laptops. The game works for them. It is a school issued device, but I believe I will get a new device once I advance into grade 10, which is next year. I do just hope that the issue will be resolved if Mojang decides to give a crap about Minecraft Education when 1.21 get delivered to the Chromebook. Also, last year, I was stuck on Minecraft 1.18.42 when 1.91.41 existed. The game seems to update extremely late for some reason.

    Hey there,

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with your Chromebook, that does sound frustrating if it once worked. With each new update it is possible the min specs could change as well, so it would be good to compare them to our recommended specs page here - System Requirements – Minecraft Education

If you would like to share the specifics of RAM/ CPU/ Storage Space/ GPU of the device I can help compare too.

This problem only happens to me when I:

    1. Have no wifi

    2. Leave Minecraft open when I close my computer and go back in

    3. Do something laggy in my world

To fix it, I just close out of Minecraft and Re-open it. If that does not work, sign out and sign back into your Chromebook.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey there,

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues as well.

Hmmm, going by those descriptions it sounds like if you restart your device every so often, shut down after each session, and limit your redstone usage and entity spawning / change your Rendering Range down a bit you should see some improvements.

Well, it did let me play on Monday, and then updated 2 days later to 1.21, but I guess that was just luck. I'm not sure if Minecraft edu will work still

    Hey there Seth,

Are you running into issues logging in after the update?
