Pirate's Cove - Broken Movement Speed
I experienced a HUGE flop with my students the other day trying to run the Pirate's Cove Speed Run with them. I found this thread:
... which helped clear up a number of issues! I used Philip Wride's file for a "fixed" version of the world and it cleared up a lot of bugs - except one.
Whenever my players join they are moving WAY too fast and cannot play the game because of it. They're using their district-assigned Chromebooks and they don't experience this bug in other worlds. The movement speed persists in the original Pirate's Cove world, as well as Philip Wride's custom copy.
Are there any fixes for this? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with Pirate Cove!
Very interesting ones at that related to movement speed. If you would be willing, if you could create a video of the issue showing your players running around at super speed, I can transfer this issue to a ticket and you can post the video there. Then we can share it with our test team to hear their thoughts on the issue.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to capture video of this since my classes let out for the summer break. If I can recreate this without the help of my students I will, but the issue doesn't seem to be with the host (me) - only with the members who join (my students).

Oh I see gotcha. Are their devices their personal devices or does IT hold them over the summer?

They're using district assigned Chromebooks, which they hold onto over the summer. They keep their devices until it gets traded out (every 5 years or so). I'm not much more knowledgable than that - sorry!
