Making a teachers license?!
Kia Ora,
Our school has just got MCE and its going reasonably smoothly. One thing that has come up is how to distinguish between a student and a teacher. As a teacher, (I have 365 faculty and a MCE student license) when I open a started world, everyone has access the the teachers only area. Basically all the accounts have the same permissions. Can I change this and how would I go about that?
Nga mihi.

Hey there!
Your faculty license that is attached to your account is giving your faculty permissions in Minecraft Education as well. They are all starting in that area because it sounds like that is where the spawn point is.
You can play around with the Visitor, Member, Operator settings in the pause menu to lower their permissions, but I do not believe this will help with this specific issue. Are you using a prebuilt world or one that you all made yourselves? Could you send me a link to the world if it is a prebuilt one?

Thanks for the reply. I have sorted the difference between the teachers and students by assigning the relevant 365 license to each account. But the problem was that in a starter world, there is a teachers only area, which controls the game and the students seam to have access to that. I.e. they can go into the elevator and push the buttons. If I change the permissions, then the students can't build in their spaces.
Nga mihi,
Simon

Hey Simon,
Can you confirm which map you're working in? We'd love to try and reproduce this and see if it is related to WorldBuilder permissions, or if something on the map is broken.
Let us know if you have any additional questions, or concerns!
