"We were unable to sign you in" on specific devices - Working Fix
"Greetings, Minecraft Educators and Enthusiasts!
We’ve noticed a series of reports from users encountering sign-in difficulties with Minecraft Education Edition on Windows 10/11 and iOS/iPadOS devices. The common error displayed is: “We were unable to sign you in. Please make sure you are signing in with your school or organizational account.” This issue seems to occur on certain devices, despite successful sign-ins on other devices.Upon investigation, we’ve pinpointed the problem to incorrect time zone or region settings. To resolve this, please verify and synchronize.
your settings as follows:
Steps for Windows 11:
1. In Windows Settings, select “Time & Language” from the sidebar.
2. Click on “Date & Time”.
3. Check that the Time Zone and Region are accurate.
4. Press the “Sync Now” button to synchronize your time.
3. Try signing into Minecraft Education Edition again.
Steps for Windows 10:
1. Open Windows Settings and choose “Date & Time” from the sidebar.
2. Ensure the Time Zone is correct and click “Sync Now”.
3. From the sidebar, select “Region” and verify that the “Country or Region” is accurate.
3. Try signing into Minecraft Education Edition again.
For iOS/iPadOS:
1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
3. Toggle “Set Automatically” off and then on again.
For IT Administrators:
If you’re utilizing an internal time server (e.g., Domain Controller), ensure that the server’s time is accurate. The adjustment process is akin to the steps provided for Windows 10.
Should the problem persist, don’t hesitate to submit a support ticket.
We hope this helps you get back to crafting and learning without delay!"

Hey there!
It could be worth double checking and trying the steps again as this has fixed the issue for a vast majority of the users we sent it to.
If you would like, we can transfer this conversation to a ticket and continue it there, where you can send some screenshots of the steps you tried and where you are still stuck.
If you are using a school issued device and/or account, it could be worth reaching out to your school's IT admin with these steps to see if they can help as well.

How do I turn it off and turn it on again on Chromebook. Do I change it to Choose from list than change it back to set automatically. Because this is an issue for me.
Thanks.

Hey there,
I found a Google article on how to do time and date settings for Chromebooks -
Set the date, time & find your calendar - Chromebook Help (google.com)
Let us know how that goes for you. You are one of the first to report this issue on Chromebooks I believe.
