    Hey there!

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues.

Can you please link the world you are having issues with and I can test on my end.

    Thanks!

    All good!

Did you find this world in the library? If you did I can poke around if you tell me exactly where you found it :)

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for your kindness!

The world where the problem occurred is not the world in the library, but the newly created world, and it is a tutorial called Aquarium.

Did you know that coral cannot grow in some places? Try placing coral on sand and see if that helps. =]

Has this been solved? I'm having the same issue.

If I follow the steps in the "Aquarium" tutorial, the corals die immediately after being placed in the water.

I've tried putting it in sand with the same results, as well as all kinds of coral and seaweed.

My guess is that they are replacing the water block when placing the corals, which creates a temporary water flow that makes the corals appear to die.

Is there a way to place corals in a location where there is already a water block without replacing it?

I tried running my old Python Azure Notebooks code, and the problem continues. So I tried manually placing blocks in nearby water. That worked, So I tried manually placing coral inside my aquarium, and that did not work.  I tried placing seagrass, and then replacing the seagrass with coral. (My reasoning was the block that looked empty might have a water block interfering.) That had some success. So I changed my code to place seagrass, and then replace it with coral. No success.

I will keep trying, but I am intrigued that the MakeCode version may work, so let me keep at it.

Okay, so I have to recommend that you put in a help ticket, with a link to this thread.
Here is my MakeCode simplest version; I have tried multiple tweaks, but the water always falls on the coral and busts it.
I have tried water before coral, water after coral, water column above sand cleared, then add coral....

    Here's my test program:https://makecode.com/_1E8gricAPWs4
