Not Updating

I'm on 1.18 my friend is on 1.20 how do I update so we can play.

  Back up all your worlds, uninstall your version, then reinstall from  - https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/get-started/download

  Note:  On a PC, the installation automatically creates 2 tasks in Task Scheduler:

  • Microsoft Education Automatic Updater
  • Microsoft Education Weekly Updater

  If you just recently installed Minecraft EDU, the updater might not have run yet.  What you can do is search for "Task Scheduler" in your Start menu and load that app.  Then find the 2 tasks listed above.  Right-click each one and select "Run". 

  I think running just one or the other would work but I don't see how you could break anything by running both.  Make sure you close the app before running the updater.
