Minecraft Education 1.20.13.0 Not working/ getting stuck on MacOS Sonoma

Minecraft launches as usual, then askes me to sign in. While sigh=ning in, I notice that the page freezes and once I finish signing in and the pop-up closes, the page is just stuck and won't close until I force quit it.

Is your issue the same as the one in this thread?: https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/19663204388756-Minecraft-stuck-at-login-screen-Mac-OS-MEd-1-20-12-

If so, give those suggestions a try, and tell me your what model of Mac you are using and whether or not the device is using a proxy/content filter.

We are still investigating this issue, and any information you can share would be amazing.

No Proxy, no Filter, Mac Book Pro M1 on Sonoma 14.5, on Ventura everything worked fine, since the update to sonoma the game starts and after a couple of seconds it just freezes, only ctrl alt esc can exit the game, i tried different macs and always the same problem, MacBook Air M1, Mac Book Pro Intel and Mac Book Pro M1, on ventura it worked and updating to sonoma you get the freeze.

Thanks for all that info, very odd it seems to be related to the latest OS version for you.

Same issue here,

I have macbook pro m1 as soon as i open minecraft education it freezes my screen and i have to use force quit to delete. what do i do now.

I downloaded Norton vpn a while before and it stopeed working after. I deleted it know but it still doesn't work. Trying to access minecraft edu school
