Bug in the comparators of Minecraft Education Edition, Version 1.19.52.0
Hi
Today I made an update of minecraft education edition to Version 1.19.52.0. And now I realise that there seems to be a bug with the comparators. As long as there is only one input signal from the back of the comparator, it sends out a signal at the other end. But if I try to use it as a real comparator and give him also a second signal from the side, there is no output in both possible settings (comparator or subtractor).
As I need this a lot in a project I want to start next school year (August 2023), it would be great, if someone could release a bugfix for that.
Many thanks and all best
Lukas

Thanks for reporting this Lukas. I haven't used comparators yet, but this intrigues me! I will give it a shot. Hopefully it will be fixed up!

I discovered this bug as a little "return gift" of sorts, when the first vertical CCA (cancel-carry adder) I created stopped working all of a sudden:
The bug appears to be caused when a comparator receives two inputs from the same power source. The part of the circuit closest to the player here is an XOR gate, and it can't XOR now :(

I have made the same observation as Jayden Yip did. My problem is seen in the first pic, with a compact two-way redstone cable. The other pics show, that with two different sources or a repeater in front of the comparator it works, but not with a single source and without the repeater.
I hope this bug can be fixed.0 -
This issue most likely is still going to occur. Once Minecraft Education is updated build to 1.20 the fix will be included. The Bedrock team discovered the bug and fixed it in their 1.19.70 build. Since our build is based off the Bedrock build it should be fixed in our next update to the Education build.

Thanks a lot for your comment. Do you have an idea, about when this next Education build will be released? Because mid-august I will start a new class with a project and there I will need this functionality.
