Installation on older Macs.
Educational supports Windows 7.
But its Mac support seems to be severely lacking.
Is there any possible way to install it on High Sierra iMacs?
I have 20 of them working very well with Arduino IDE, Lua LOVE, Pygame Python, Java Minecraft, C++ and HomeBrew in general...
But can't get Minecraft Education to work once installed...
Any thing I can do other than give up on Minecraft Education Edition?
(Not going to rebuy all my perfectly functioning computers for one application.)

Hello Craig. You can try installing on High Sierra, but the issue is that the OS does not function properly with the game client. Most likely you will see random issues when you try to play but it's worth an attempt. As for the Windows 7 support, we are not going to support Windows 7 after the next live release since it will have issues with how old that OS version is.

It installs fine, and the installer package says that it is compatible with 10.13.6.
But as soon as I run it, it throws an error saying
"Minecraft cannot be opened because of a problem
Check with the developer to make sure micraftpe [SIC] works with this version of MacOS."0 -
Hey Craig,
As Dominick mentioned, these are the current and future operating systems that are supported by Minecraft Education:

Alas, it seems there is nothing I can do about it. Microsoft are understandably prioritising their own OS.
It's a shame since it seemed like a promising tool for a small school. Welp, I guess I will have to search for other things to teach, instead.
Once again, thank you for your help.
