School Internet
Hello,
I am trying to solve some lag issues with my classroom minecraft. We are all working on ChromeOS. I am hosting from a stronger Chromebook, an Asus Intel Core i7. 2.8GHz. 16GB Ram. 512GB SSD.
What settings on our Wifi/Network could be adjusted to make the game run faster? Our district IT doesn't do a lot of digging, so I need to provide solutions.
Issues: Super Laggy. Can't open chests. When a character dies, they lose inventory. Blocks don't destroy or are lagged.
All the computers have in-game graphics turned down. All have chunks turned down. Everyone has updated OS and updated Minecraft. This is why I think its our network.
When I run a speed test, my computer is showing the Wifi as 61MBs Download. 56MBs Upload. So I am thinking its some port or setting or something that needs adjusting.
Thanks,
Alec

Hey Alec!
If you can put all this info in our ticket, we can troubleshoot over there with videos.
Thanks!

Are you experiencing lag when everyone is in their own world? Or just smaller groups in a shared world? See if you can pinpoint the bottleneck.
