I would first run a force GP update from SCCM. Then I would try smaller batches and use groups that have a lower device count. This may be occurring if the devices do not meet compliance. Check if the install took place but not showing desktop shortcut on those devices. As a test, try devices next to you to watch what occurs.

    Hi Gary Ankers

I ran into the same issue with SCCM deployment.

A /gpupdate force would usually do the trick, but I found if students were patient, the icon would usually show up and would typically be there next time they logged in.

Thanks guy's I'll take a look in the new year. I did try gpupdate at the time remotely but maybe I need to jump on the physical pc.

Afternoon guys, just tested a pc that I know its installed on. Logged in as a student - manually created icon won't launch. Logged in as admin - gpupdate /force. Logged back in as student still nothing. Any other ideas or should I strip it off and manually install each one individually? Thanks again for the help.

    Hey there Gary,

Hmmm, seems like you tried a few different things. How many would you have to manually install? That seems like the best bet.
