Detected Lost Connection

I tried joining my friend's world, and I was able to join but at random intervals, I would disconnect, usually about a minute or so. However, when my other friend joined her world, she seemed perfectly fine and could play for hours! Does anyone know this problem?

  Hi Selena Wang - take a look at this guide to help you troubleshooting your world connections: https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4404977171732

  One other step you can try is to reduce the render distance.  

  Here's how:

  • Pause your game and open settings
  • Open the Video settings
  • At the bottom of the settings page, drop it down to 9 chunks or lower

  Let us know if this works for you.

  Nothing worked. I've tried all options and asked her for her external IP(what do you do with it?). The last session was about 5 minutes before it said detected lost connection again. Any solutions?
