We figured this out too. You need to make sure that all of the devices have the new update. If that doesn't work have your students re-load the game pin.

It automatically happens. If one person has the new update and the other doesn't, you can't connect to worlds. Try going into the app store or onto the website and uninstall and install the game.  ...

This means your child's school account hasn't signed up for mincraft edu edition. They might have cut the line. You can't use your normal account. Try asking the school
