The option PROFILE->ENABLE SINGLE SIGN ON in this version (1.12.5) is ignored or it is not working as in the previous one. I always have to insert my password now.

What data are you talking about ? Your Minecraft Worlds ? The Minecraft worlds are bound to the PC where you run M:EE and not to the account you used.
