We have had a lot of users report this on Monterey. One workaround users have reported is to install the Beta client running 1.18 and that seems to help a lot.

Try deleting this world from your device and redownload the world again. Make sure you do not have any mods running and you allow list all of our URLs: URLs Used by Minecraft: Education Edition

Ok so first restart your machine. Then go to the control panel and go to programs and features. Once that window opens scroll down until you see Minecraft Education. Then click on it and uninstall....
