Multiplayer join not working

me and my friend have been playing on a world for some time and yesterday we got the new 1.18.32 update. we played last night and it was fine but this morning he cant join my world. I am also not able to join my friends worlds. Everything was fine until the update. we can no longer play together

  On August 9th we updated our services and in order to host or join multiplayer worlds, networks need to allow list a new URL. The new URL is https://*.minecraft-services.net/. If you don't know the process for allow listing in the network, you may need to work with your ISP/IT for that procedure. Let me know if this helps or changes the issue.
