Importing Makecode tutorials into MEE
There seems to be no way to import tutorials into the in-game Makecode editor. I've tried to create tutorials with the tutorial-tool as well as tutorials on GitHub. The online Makecode editor will open tutorials, but then the editor is not linked to the running Minecraft game.
Is there anyway to actually get tutorials working in-game? When will GitHub integration become available? I'd love to create tutorials for my students and share them with the community, but currently there appears no way to accomplish this in-game.

Hi Debbie,
I did see that post and followed the steps. Unfortunately, the only thing I can get seem to get to import is a project with sample code. The tutorials that you make with the tutorial tool will load up on the Makecode Editor in the web browser, but will not import into the game. There doesn’t seem to be any way to get the tutorial functionality in game unfortunately.
Thank you for the reply.0 -
So, if your tutorials are working on the web browser, you are doing great! I think the idea might be that you can put the link to the tutorial in the game for them to follow, (with an NPC or in the game settings) and they can create the code in the tutorial and then publish the code they create. After they publish the code, they can import the code into Makecode in the game. It takes longer to type than to do, actually. It's a few quick steps.
Let me know if you find a way for it to work. I love hearing about folks creating their own stuff! We are creative, knowledge constructors, teaching kids who will be the same! It's living the dream. ;)
