Problem connecting multiplayer
Hi there,
I am having a problem with teacher and student connecting on multiplayer world version of Education Edition.
The two accounts are on the same tenant. I know this because I have a Chromebook (student account) and a Mac (teacher account), both with MEE on them, and both teacher and student can connect into the same world fine. But this is on the same home wi-fi network.
It's when the teacher moves to a different house (different wi-fi network) that it turns to custard.
We just get unable to connect messages after sharing the code. One has tried to host, and then the other. With the same result.
We have done port forwarding at both ends, and this seems to make no difference at all.
We have quit and restarted the MEE app and tried to join a world straight away, but no luck.
Both are the same versions (v1.17.32)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Ryan Malone,
Joining hosted sessions across the internet will require some adjustments to the port forwarding on the home router of the person hosting the sessions.
Here are some helpful links:

Thanks Dan. Still working on some solutions for port forwarding.
Quick question - can the host be on a personal hotspot (e.g. iPhone) and multi-player work (i.e by-passing the home Wi-Fi network)?

I just cannot get this working.
We've tried port forwarding and hot-spotting and nothing. All on different devices. Some Chromebooks. Some MacBooks, Some iPads, different combinations. Uninstall. Reinstall. Everything. Just unable to connect to world.
Help, please.

Hmm. Never used a hotspot while running hosting, so not sure.
You've setup the tcp/udp forwarding on your home router? Has the router been rebooted since you've enabled the port forwarding? Unfortunately each router is different in how this works... I've done a few, and honestly, I've spent some time scratching my head and arguing with some of them where it wasn't terribly clear. Another quick question... is everyone that's trying to join on the same domain?
