Nether Portal Animation does not play when entering it

When entering a Nether Portal from the Overworld in MEE 1.18.10 BETA, the usual 4 seconds animation doesn't play: instead, I am directly prompted "Building Terrain". I would love this bug to be fixed, as it was pretty fun to be able to go through nether portals without actually going to the Nether. Note that the animation still plays after the loading is done when going to the Nether/Overworld.
