Granular Permission controls and codebuilder
I am over the top happy that we now have a dedicated server for Minecraft Education!
But this is bringing the need for more granular permission controls to front and center for me.
I really want to allow students to work on some coding projects and be able to show them off and share them in a group world. However, most of the logic is locked behind operator status.
In regular client based worlds the way to deal with it is to use the education.json file to globally hide commands from players and/or automation. This has drawbacks of not allowing the teacher access to commands either but at least it is a way.
In the dedicated server I have not found any way to allow students full coding access without also opening access to running /commands in chat. The education.json file isn't working and not allowing cheats stops the codebuilder from accessing logic as well.
